Ryan Braun's reported silence is deafening right now.

For the last couple of years, the Brewers left fielder has steadfastly denied any and all connections to performance-enhancing drugs. But when he reportedly sat down with Major League Baseball on June 29 to answer questions about his alleged ties to the Biogenesis clinic in Miami, Braun refused to talk. According to a source who spoke with ESPN's Outside the Lines, Braun would not discuss Biogenesis, Biogenesis founder Tony Bosch, or PEDs with MLB.

What does that mean? Well, it means that Braun may have just cost himself the chance to defend himself. MLB is looking to suspend him and as many as 20 other players for their connections to Biogenesis. And by not talking to MLB about it, he may have just given them a reason to suspend him for a long, long time.

MLB is also reportedly interested in sitting down with Alex Rodriguez sometime within the next week to talk about his connection to Bosch and PEDs. And they're going to announce their findings and issue suspensions to players later this month. Stay tuned to see who gets suspended and how long they get suspended for.
