Two Special Edition Fiat Abarth 595s to Show Up at Frankfurt

Vicious things can come in cute packages.

It may be, in all actuality, pretty damn slow, but the Fiat 500 Abarth is still more fun than almost anything else. We haven't drivne the Abarth 595 Competezione, which is effectively a 500 Abarth with 17" alloy wheels, cross-drilled brakes, a monza exhaust system, Sabelt seats, upgraded shocks, 20 more horses, and a ton of special editions.

At the Frankfurt Motor Show later this month two new special editions of the Abarth 595 will see the light of day meticulously engineered stages. First up we have the 50th Anniversary Edition, which features retro badging and will be available for order on September 15th, 50 years to the day after the introduction of the original Abarth 595. 299 will be made.

More exclusively, Abarth is also making 49 copies of a variant called the Abarth 695 Maserati. The 695 Maserati is distinguished by more upscale finishes, from paint to Maserati-style wheels to some beautiful leather thrones and special badging.
