If Floyd Mayweather Jr. got this upset when one of the members of TheMoney Team put honey in his coffee recently, we can only imagine how upset he is right now at whoever posted a meme of Oscar De La Hoya to his Instagram yesterday. The meme—which you can see in the thumbs gallery above—featured the words, "MEANWHILE IN REHAB," above a photo of a teary-eyed De La Hoya. Underneath it, the caption read, "OSCAR: I gave Canelo the wrong Blueprint. I was high." It alluded to the fact that De La Hoya is in rehab battling substance abuse.

In a statement released late last night, Mayweather revealed that he did not put the post up. He didn't say who did. But Money May's handlers routinely post things to his various social media accounts. So we wouldn't be surprised in the least if someone on The Money Team got screamed at last night for making a very poor decision and posting the De La Hoya meme.

"It's unfortunate that a stupid picture was posted to my Instagram account earlier today that was not posted by me or authorized by me to post," Mayweather said in his statement. "As I clearly stated during my fight week and again in the post-fight press conference, I completely support Oscar De La Hoya and his family during this difficult time in his life. Although we have had our differences in the past, I stand by him unconditionally and would never personally disrespect him or anyone who struggles with addiction.

"I apologize to Oscar and his family for this posting," he continued. "I wish him well and am rooting for him to win his fight, too. I also apologize to all of my followers for this ridiculous post. I have no ill-will towards anyone and have repeatedly stated that I only seek positivity in my life and for others."

Wait, Mayweather always seeks positivity in his life?! Errr, we're not so sure about that. But other than that, we appreciate his apology and tend to believe that he did not play a role in posting the meme. Someone on The Money Team did, though, and we bet that person is back on coffee-fetching duty for the foreseeable future.
