Eight minutes and four seconds. That how fast an Alfa Romeo (with the seams taped closed for aerodynamics) managed to lap the Nurburgring's Nordschleife track with 'Ring master Horst von Saurma behind the wheel.

While we've recently been publishing lightning fast sub-seven minute lap times, those cars cost over a million bucks. The 4C is going to cost $54,000 and is powered by a 247 horsepower I4, making it the fastest car with a sub-250 horse engine to ever lap the "Green Hell," and matching the time of the $114,900 Audi R8 and $63,800 Porsche Cayman S. More powerful cars that it managed to beat include the outgoing BMW M3 (8:05) and the Jaguar XKR (8:25).

We want one.
