SEMA gives out four awards each year, for the Hottest Car, Hottest Sports Compact, Hottest Truck, and Hottest 4x4. Last year, the winners were, in the same order, the Ford Mustang, the Scion FR-S, the Ford F-150, and the Jeep Wrangler. This year, the winners were the Ford Mustang, the Scion FR-S, the Ford F-150, and the Jeep Wrangler.
On one hand it's rather disappointing that the aftermarket hasn't managed come up with nearly as much cool new stuff on any of the new cars from the last year, but on the other hand we get it. The awarded cars are all well loved, affordable, and inspiring cars, and the last year hasn't seen the release of many affordable enthusiast's cars.
What do you think? Is this laziness or consistency?
