Toyota has been making so many sleek and sexy cars recently.

"Before, we made cars so as not to be disliked by anyone. In the future, out of 100 customers, we want to excite ten of them instead of not offending all 100."
- Toyota Design Chief Tokuo Fukuichi

This is one of the fruits of that new philosophy: the Lexus RC Coupe. It's dead sexy, and it's production ready. Lexus describes the car as part of a "handling revolution," and we think we like the sound of that. To make sure that the car isn't all handling with no power, the car will be available with either a 314 hp 3.5L V6 (shown) or a 2.5L I4 mated to a hybrid system for a grand total of 217 horses. We'd pick the former, but we're sure the latter will serve plenty of people nicely. Rear and all wheel drive will be avilable, and power will get to those wheels via either the eight-speed automatic from the IS-F in the V6 or a CVT in the hybrid.

No word on pricing or fuel economy yet, but you can expect to see a hard-core sports version of this at some point in 2014.
