That's right. We have two Anne Hathaway rides-related stories in one day. First she left dog feces as a gift on a paparazzo's car, and now she's proving to be a BMW hypebeast. Hathaway was spotted with her husband driving around in the BMW i3. While it's been for sale in Europe since November, BMW's $42,000 electric car won't be available in the United States until the middle of 2014.
The i3's motor is powered by a 22-kWh lithium-ion battery. It has 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. A full three-hour charge gives car a range of 80-100 miles, and its top speed is 93 mph. It's no Tesla, but it's nice to see another car company getting into the electric car game in America.
