Bad news, Thunder fans. Your team is going to be without the services of Russell Westbrook for at least the next month and a half.

According to a report that was released a short time ago, Westbrook underwent surgery on his right knee today after he experienced some swelling in it this week. As a result of the surgery, Westbrook will reportedly be out until the NBA All-Starbreak. The knee is the same knee that Westbrook needed surgery on back in April when he tore the lateral meniscus in the knee. And he also had a procedure on the knee done in October.

Hopefully, today's surgery will be the last surgery Westbrook needs to have done on his knee this season. Otherwise, the Thunder could be in some trouble and Westbrook could miss the playoffs for the second straight season. We wish him a speedy recovery.
