Alex Rodriguez is done fighting.

For the last six months or so, A-Rod has devoted nearly all of his time to fighting the 211-game suspension that Major League Baseball handed down to him last summer due to his connection to the Biogenesis lab in Miami. And while he did manage to appeal that suspension and get it knocked down to a 162-game suspension, he had previously contended that he was going to continue to fight the suspension and try to play in the upcoming 2014 MLB season. However, that is no longer the case.

Earlier today, Rodriguez withdrew the lawsuits that he filed against MLB, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig, and the MLBPA. He also agreed to serve his 162-game suspension and miss the entire 2014 season. He'll be eligible to return to the baseball field next year.
