Was former NBA star Ben Wallace involved in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning? Police aren't sure yet. But an SUV registered in Wallace's name was found at the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took place in Henrico County, Va. and the authorities are currently trying to figure out whether Wallace was present when the accident took place.
According to WTVR in Detroit, Henrico County resident Silverio Acosta heard a loud noise at around 2 a.m. on Saturday and ran outside to find that an SUV had crashed into a fence that borders his backyard. He also saw a man fighting to get out of the SUV. And when the man was finally able to free himself, Acosta claims that the man started smashing pieces of the fence in anger. The man then fled the scene of the crime and left the SUV behind.
Inside of the SUV, police later found an expired car insurance card with Ben Wallace's name on it. And when the cops ran the license plates on the SUV, it came back as being registered to Wallace. It's unclear, though, whether Wallace was driving at the time of the accident. And Wallace is yet to speak up about his possible involvement in the accident.
