He nearly got the Kevin Durant treatment.

Last March, Texans running back Arian Foster decided that he was done with Twitter. He didn't cancel his account. But he did send out this tweet indicating that he wouldn't be using the social media site anymore:

It's been fun, twitter! Time for me to leave the digital realm. Be the light you want to see on the earth. Peace.

So over the weekend, Foster surprised everyone when, seemingly out of nowhere, he started tweeting again. And some of the first tweets that he sent out were rap related. For instance, someone asked Foster his favorite rapper at the moment and he opened a few eyes with this answer:

@Hit_Boy <~ RT @Leonel_DeLaSosa: @ArianFoster who's your favorite rapper right now ?

Then, someone asked Foster about the recent Loaded Lux and Hollow Da Don rap battle and Foster responded with this:

Classic. I got hollow w/ the w. But you can go either way with it. RT @blksupaman3: @ArianFoster thoughts on loaded lux vs hollow

And Foster's favorite Kanye WestJay Z, Common, Mos Def, and Nas albums were also up for discussion:

Late registration. RT @Lilkennyp_23: @ArianFoster I need my fav. running backs opinion, what is Kanye's best album?
Black album/reasonable doubt. RT @ziyanmomin: @ArianFoster what about Jay-Z's best album?
Like water for chocolate. RT @ziyanmomin: @ArianFoster What about Common's best album in your opinion?
Black on both sides. RT @13RTru13: @ArianFoster mos defs best album?
Stillmatic. RT @marcusq22: @ArianFoster favorite Nas album?

But things got really interesting when, for whatever reason, Foster decided to throw his hat into the Kevin Durant vs. Lil B ring. Without being prompted, he gave praise to KD's ability to rap while simultaneously taking a shot at Lil B:

I got KD over lil B in the booth and on the court.
Don't sleep on KD's pen.

And as you might expect, that did not sit well with Lil B:

It also didn't sit well with Lil B's fans:

Lil b's stans are awkward.

So within just a few hours, Foster was already apologizing to the Based God and trying to avoid the Based God's curse:

Please don't curse me, based god. I respect the hustle.

He also released this video featuring his mom, his grandmom, and his daughter, which he made to try and get back into the good graces of the Based God:

And there's good news, Arian Foster fans. It looks like the Based God did pardon Foster's disrespectful tweet:

@ArianFoster salute!! - Lil B

WHEW. That was close. Foster already has enough going on in his life right now. So the last thing he needed was Lil B's curse working against him. Disaster averted!
