This is a Nissan Qashqai, it isn’t sold here in the USA, though we do have its twin brother on sale – the Nissan Rogue CUV. But there’s something a bit special about this particular one. This modified crossover will go over 200mph and beat most supercars off the line. Meet the SVM Qashqai R.

This madman’s car was built in the UK by Severnvalley Motorsport, and cost $465,000 to put together. Why so expensive? Underneath the unassuming Nissan body lies the chassis, engine, and drivetrain from – you guessed it – a Nissan GT-R. SVN completely stripped and rebuilt the R35’s 3.8L twin-turbo engine to pump out an atmospheric 1100-horsepower.

Performance figures are staggering to say the least. Zero to 60mph takes 2.7 seconds (quicker than a McLaren P1 and practically anything else), zero to 120mph takes a hair under 7.5 seconds, and it dispenses the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds at 144mph. Not bad for a sensible family crossover.
