Today GM announced that it is recalling another 2.4 million vehicles, pushing the grand total of U.S. vehicles recalled in 2014 up past 13 million. What's so frightening about this number is that GM has only sold 12.18 million cars in the U.S. in the last five years.

GM is clearly going back through its all of its craptastic Saturn Ions and Chevy Cobalts and making sure there are no defectsparts that do not perform to design or other potential Kevorkianesque, disemboweling features parts that do not perform to design that could result in the carsbecoming rolling sarcophagi not performing to design.
