Pacers center Roy Hibbert hasn't sent out a single tweet or posted a single photo on Instagram since the start of the 2014 NBA Playoffs. In fact, he hasn't done either of those things since back on April 2 when the Pacers still had six games remaining on their 2013-14 regular season schedule. So we assume that Hibbert hasn't been checking his mentions on Twitter or scanning the comments sections on his IG in recent days. And that is a very good thing for him. Because over the course of the last week or so, the Roy Hibbert slander has been at an all-time high on social media.
That's particularly true right now. Last night, Hibbert put up zero points and grabbed zero rebounds during the Pacers' loss to the Wizards in Game 1 of their best-of-7 series. And both during the game and after it, social media had nothing but not-so-nice things to say about Hibbert. It actually got so bad that, at one point, we started to feel bad for the guy.
