Two months after receiving the franchise tag and a guaranteed $13M in 2014, Carolina Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy stands accused of beating his girlfriend during a drunken argument at his Charlotte home. Hardy was released on $15,000 bond Wednesday. The Panthers star was also ordered by a judge to refrain from contact with his girlfriend, Nicole Holder.

Holder alleges that Hardy choked her, threw her on a pile of guns, and threatened to shoot her if she went to the media or reported the assault. According to a report from the Charlotte-Observer, Hardy’s attorney claims that Holder was the aggressor. Hardy’s next court date is scheduled for June 27.
