On Friday night, Alyssa Argy and Darren Summers were married in Niagara Falls, N.Y. And it should have been one of the happiest days of their lives. But shortly after the wedding reception ended, their wedding weekend turned into a nightmare for them.

Very early Saturday morning, a valet took the newlywed couple's car—which was adorned with "Just Married" decorations and packed with more than $8000 worth of wedding gifts—and parked in outside of the hotel that the couple was staying at in downtown Buffalo. But when the couple emerged from the hotel a few hours later to fetch their car, they realized that all of their gifts were gone. It seems someone broke into their car overnight and took all of the cash and checks that people had given the couple for their wedding. And the couple was obviously devastated as a result of it.

"We woke up, and we were happy because we're married now," Argy said shortly after finding out that the couple's car had been burglarized. "Then we found out that all the money people had given us was taken away. It's pretty upsetting."

The good news is that the couple will probably get some of their money back since a portion of it was in the form of checks. But still, what a way to start your marriage. Let's hope that this isn't a sign of things to come for the couple.
