It would be nice to have a direct way to criticize a bad driver, but this is just weird. General Motors has shown a prototype Android app that allows users to send text messages to a driver by scanning their license plate. The person wouldn't even need to have the app themselves, which ups the creep factor.
A video demonstrated the app being used by one driver using the app to ask another on a date. That's mad stalkerish. It also has another scenario in which someone uses it to tell a driver to move their parked car out of the way, which is admittedly less stalkerish.
Even with its less creepy functions, we don't want to see this go further than research and development.
