New LeBron James Jerseys Don't Exist Yet, But They're Already Sold Out

Try heading to eBay for a LeBron Cavaliers jersey.

This should *really* be LeBron's new number.

This should *really* be LeBron's new number.

LeBron James hasn't even decided what number he's going to wear yet, but the NBA Store has announced that jerseys that will eventually have James' future number are all sold out. Darren Rovell came through with the report.

Shit, man. Well if you've had a hard-on for a new LeBron James jersey, you might be the victim of the practice of basking in the reflective glory of new signings. You're also an idiot, because you can get second-hand LeBron James Cavaliers jerseys on eBay for less than half the cost of a new one. And if he ends up returning to his vacant Cavaliers No. 23, all the better.

Also, new LeBron James jerseys aren't technically totally sold out yet. To meet the demand, the NBA has appeared to just make up a new Cavaliers color way. The team doesn't have a black jersey, but it appears as if (and this is only this writer's speculation) the NBA came up on a grip of blank black Adidas basketball jerseys and slapped the team's name on the front.

It's shameless and opportunistic, and the end result carries a pretty fucking shallow-feeling, Canal street texture, but for you more artistic types, it's essentially a blank canvas. Get some art supplies and make that jersey wild looking and wild personal—do some actual designing/more than what the NBA attempted.
