Recently, we reported that Subaru could be losing the BRZ after the first generation, on account of Toyota's newfound sportscar affair with BMW. Now, in light of rumors that the BRZ (and possibly its GT-86 and FR-S siblings) might be set to die, Subaru has confirmed that the BRZ, and siblings, will see a new generation that will, like the current car be developed arm-in-arm with Toyota.

Regarding the rumors,  Subaru parent company Fuji Heavy Industries president Yasuyuki Yoshinaga responded "If I were to be told that, I'd pass out," Yoshinaga said. "It's not going to be just one generation."

That's good enough for us.
