Here's Clint Dempsey Rapping at the MLS Next Party (Video)

Deuce dropping BARS, son.

When you're a star on the US Men's National Team and one of the standouts of the World Cup, you can pretty much do whatever you want, even if whatever you want turns out to be rapping for a crowd of journalists and PR people. That's exactly what Clint Dempsey did on Thursday night at the MLS Next party to celebrate the re-branding of Major League Soccer, as well as the release of EA Sports FIFA 15.

"Deuce," his rapper alias, took the stage for about three minutes to spit bars while his hypeman and one of Dempsey's personal heroes, Trae Tha Truth, tried to keep up. While it didn't quite reach the glorious heights of his 2006 single "Don't Tread," the song should at least get soccer fans hyped for his yet-to-be-released debut album.

While we were at the MLS Next event, we got a chance to catch up with Dempsey, as well as fellow MLS stars Tim Cahill and DeAndre Yedlin, to talk about the future of Major League Soccer and the release of FIFA 15. Peep that video right here.
