The lesson here: do not give Thierry Henry any space, ever.
Despite being 37 years old and likely on his way out of the game, Henry showed last night that she can still strike a ball as well as anyone in the world. The Sporting Kansas City defense gave him entirely too much space at the top of the 18 yard box, and as he is done throughout his entire career Henry made them pay with an absolute missile into the top corner. Henry's wonderstrike gave the Red Bulls a 2-0 lead, and they would make it stand up and hold on for a big 2-1 win.
What's kind of funny is that this ridiculous goal will not even come close to cracking the top 10 of Henry's career. Guess that's what happens when you're really, really good.
