Wes Welker and Orlando Scandrick Are Eligible This Sunday Following the NFL's New Drug Policy

NFLPA came through just in time for Week 2 of NFL Football.

The lone ray of good news this week is that as an award for putting up with the lies and shocks of the NFL, you might get to see Wes Welker play. The NFLPA has reached a new drug policy agreement that reinstates Welker and Orlando Scandrick in time for Week 2.

The change that directly affect the two players is that amphetamines are now listed under the substance-abuse policy instead of the performing-enhancing drug ruling. This means MDMA, the amphetamine Scandrick and Welker tested positive for, won't get you a suspension upon first violation. They were both originally busted for four games.

So Peyton Manning gets his weapon back and Tony Romo can chill a little bit more after throwing those picks. This still doesn't take away just how bad this week has been in football, however.
