Chris Webber was a five-time All-Star, the 1994 Rookie of the Year and is currently a TNT analyst, but could the 41-year-old be adding NBA owner to his resume? According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Webber is part of a group who has submitted a letter of interest to the league regarding the potential purchase of the Atlanta Hawks.
Webber's exact financial contribution is unknown, however, it is believed that he would have "a modest financial investment in the partnership" and become the face of the group who will handle the basketball operations side if they do manage to buy the Hawks.
In case you're wondering, the Hawks are on the market after the front office debacle that was the racist email sent out by current majority owner Bruce Levenson and the questionable remarks made by general manager Danny Ferry which led to his leave of absence. All the primary investors will become known "in the near future."
