Want to know just how important Nick Saban is to the Alabama football program? Peep this. A bunch of Alabama boosters—who make up the Crimson Tide Foundation—reportedly got together back in early 2013 and paid off Saban's $3.1 million house…even though nobody asked them to do it.

Saban and his wife purchased the home back in 2007 and Saban makes about $7 million per year, meaning he could definitely afford to pay off the house on his own. But the boosters stepped in in order to keep Saban happy by paying off the house. And in addition to paying for Saban's home, they also pay off the property taxes on a regular basis, meaning Saban is essentially paying nothing for his $3 million home.

"We want to keep him happy," an assistant secretary for the CTF told AL.com recently. "We think he is the best coach in America."

Hmmm…Then how would you guys feel about picking up Saban's electric bill? What about his cable? And would you mind paying the pool boy, too? Anything for a happy coach!
