New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton erupted on a reporter at the press conference following his team’s loss to the Lions this afternoon. One of the presumed Super Bowl favorites to start the season, NOLA is now 2-4 and appears to be on the brink of a total collapse.
Payton certainly was in no mood for dumb questions after today’s game, and following one testy exchange really let the next reporter have it after the reporter pressed Payton for taking too long to answer his question.
Is “be quiet, I’m answering the question” on the level of “they are who they thought they were,” “you play to win the game,” or “playoffs!?” Probably not. But it’s got to be in the lead for best coach presser moment of the season, at the very least.
