Wale Will Serve as a "Creative Liaison" for the Wizards This Season

He'll also perform at their home opener on Saturday.

Earlier this week, one of Wale's fans asked if he will be in attendance at the Wizards home opener against the Bucks on Saturday. And he revealed that he would "absolutely" be there:

As it turns out, though, he's going to do more than just show up at the home. Wizards owner Ted Leonsis just announced that the team has named Wale their new "Creative Liaison." And his first job with the team will be to perform during player intros during their home opener. But he's also going to help the Wizards out with social media promotions, merchandise designs, and other things throughout the 2014-15 NBA season.

"I'm excited to start building as the creative liaison for the Washington Wizards," he said earlier today. "As a D.C. native and lifelong Wizards fan, this is truly an exciting and organic relationship for me. We've got some exciting projects up our sleeve that will roll out throughout the season."

Stay tuned to see what kinds of things Wale will be involved with.
