David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn has signed his first professional football contract with Arsenal, after reportedly turning down deals with Chelsea and Manchester United, where his father famously played.

All three of David Beckham's sons are on the books at Arsenal, with Romeo and Cruz playing for the North London club's U13s and U10s sides respectively.

A source in the Daily Star is quoted as saying:

"Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played. He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. Arsenal realize he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset."

Brooklyn Beckham has already got the best of PSG's Thiago Silva.

15-year-old Brooklyn was previously on trial at Championship side Fulham before being brought in to Arsenal's academy, where he's now signed a professional contract until the end of the season.

This probably isn't the transfer coup Arsenal fans were hoping for.
