He's baaaaaaack!

After spending most of the first month of the 2014-15 NBA season sitting on the bench with a hand injury, Nick Young was back in the lineup for the Lakers against the Hawks last night. And thanks to the 17 points that he put up against Atlanta, Kobe Bryant & Co. were able to win their second game of the season on Tuesday to move to 2-9 on the year. And Swaggy P wasn't shy about patting himself on the back after the win.

"It's like my swag rubbed off on everybody," he said following the game. "It's unbelievable."

Swaggy didn't stop there, either. In addition to essentially giving himself all the credit for the Lakers' win, he also decided to reveal that he thinks he's the best three-pointer shooter ever (despite the fact that he didn't even land on our list of the top 25 three-point shooters in NBA history earlier this year). Los Angeles Daily News writer Mark Medina then asked him the obvious question—"What about Larry Bird?"—and Swaggy revealed that, while Larry Legend is in his top five, he's not anywhere close to his level:

1.

Nick Young says he's the best 3 point shooter. What about Larry Bird? Nick says he's in top five

In fact, he puts Bird fifth (or technically, sixth) all-time in the best three-point shooters conversation, below guys like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller who also fall under Swaggy:

2.

So is Swaggy right? Is he the G.O.A.T. when it comes to shooting the basketball from  downtown?

Ummm…let's see. A quick scan of Basketball-Reference reveals that Swaggy is 109th overall when it comes to career three-point field goal percentage (37.7 percent) behind guys like Jason Terry, O.J. Mayo, and Vince Carter. He's 187th overall in career three-point field goals made (585) behind guys like Trevor Ariza, Mehmet Okur, and Mario Chalmers. And he's 207th overall in career three-point field goals attempted (1551) behind guys like DeShawn Stevenson, Dorell Wright, and Marcus Thornton.

So best all-time? Ha. No. But ultimately, we don't think that was the point that Young was trying to make last night. The point was that Swaggy is back—and the Lakers are going to be fun again. At least for a few games.
