When it comes to thinking up shitty ways to lose, we imagine you'd envision Hail Marys, half court buzzer beaters or walk-off grand slams. Those are all miserable, but not necessarily unique since they do occur from time-to-time. Still, we saw a new one (so far as we know) tonight that ranks somewhere between Bill Buckner and Stanford's band. It occurred as Florida's Jacob Kurtz accidentally tipped-in the game-winning field goal for rival Florida State (see: the endless loop above).
While we don't think it'll have the staying power of the aforementioned examples, it's still a fluke blooper that'll probably certainly lead to a restless night, or two. Especially if Florida (currently 7-5) finds their way onto the NCAA tourney bubble come February/March.
