Since dismissing former head coach Will Muschamp, the University of Florida has been on the hunt for a new coach to lead their football program. Today, the Gators announced their decision: Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain.

McElwain coached the Rams for three seasons, improving their record every year. In 2014, he led the team to a 10-2 finish. In the past, McElwain served as a quarterbacks coach for the Oakland Raiders and won two national championships with the Alabama Crimson Tide while serving as their quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.
