Hey, reporters, let's try something new: If you're going to ask an athlete or a coach about their team's defense, stop simply using the letter "D." We know that it saves you a whole—what?—0.000005 seconds when you shorten "defense" to "D." But after seeing the awkward interaction that took place between a reporter and Klay Thompson last month and this awkward interaction between a reporter and Rex Ryan earlier today, we think it's well worth your time to stop saying "D" during interviews. Unless, of course, you like the entire Internet making fun of you and your poorly-phrased questions, in which case…carry on!
