Arizona State's 'Curtain of Distraction' is the Creepiest Thing You'll See All Day

Good luck making your free throws with this going on in the background

Over the years, the student sections at college basketball games have come up with incredibly creative ways to distract opposing teams as they attempt to shoot free throws. Duke had a guy pop up wearing nothing but a speedo. San Diego State has taken to holding blown up pictures of various pop culture figures. Arizona State's students have taken things to another, slightly creepy level.

They call it the "Curtain of Distraction," and it was front and center during the Sun Devils upset win over sixth ranked Arizona today. Two students stand on either side of a black curtain, and just as the opponent gets into his motion to shoot a freebie, they pull the curtain back, revealing something terrifying behind it. Maybe it's two people in mouse masks sword fighting. Maybe it's these dudes in unicorn heads and tutus twerking. Whatever it is, you can be assured that the images behind that curtain will haunt you for life.

Good luck to anyone traveling to play Arizona State at home this season. They're all going to need therapy afterwards.
