Say what you want about him, but radio host Mike Francesa is good at what he does. He's been doing it for a long time now—about 28 years—and has earned a lot of loyal listeners during his time on the air. But what if we told you that he came thisclose to becoming an NFL employee back in the early 1990s?
He claims it almost happened. During his show today, he revealed that he was offered some sort of position with an NFL team in 1992 or 1993. He didn't take it because he would have had to take a pay cut (Ha!) but he didn't sound like he was joking around when he said it:
