Who's ready to watch Johnny Manziel attempt to transform himself from rehab patient to competent quarterback on national television while Ray Farmer buys a new burner each week to secretly text plays to his offensive coordinator?

If you raised your hand, you might be in luck. NFL writer Vic Carucci is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are the current front runner to star in HBO's "Hard Knocks" series, which gives fans a behind the scenes look at an NFL team each season as they grind through training camp.

The storylines are ripe in Cleveland. Can Manziel beat out Josh McCown and whomever the Browns take in the draft and redeem himself as an NFL quarterback? Will Josh Gordon's camo Porsche make an appearance? Does owner Jimmy Haslam really have his hands in the proverbial cookie jar, inserting himself into personnel matters, or is that an overblown story? Are coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer actually on the same page, or do they bicker like an old married couple? Will players openly talk shit about Jordan Cameron?

1.

So many questions to potentially be answered in front of our eyes each week. For a team who has had a somewhat tumultuous offseason, having cameras follow them around all through training camp is probably not ideal. But after turning down HBO last season, which they were allowed to do because of their first year head coach, the Browns no longer have an option. The aura of Johnny Football has come calling once again. Stay tuned.
