Another day, another Philadelphia Eagles offensive star gone to greener pastures.

— Chris Mortensen (@mortreport) March 9, 2015Jeremy Maclin is the latest Eagles leave or be released/traded out of Philadelphia, following in the footsteps of DeSean Jackson and recently traded LeSean McCoy. ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Maclin will sign with the Kansas City Chiefs once free agency begins on Tuesday.
Though Maclin is an unrestricted free agent, making the choice to leave his alone, Chip Kelly's fingerprints on his team are becoming more apparent with each passing day as the Eagles did little to try and keep Maclin around.
Maclin joins a Chiefs team in desperate need of a wide receiver who can find the end zone, having gone through the entirety of the 2014 campaign without a single wideout catching a touchdown. It's been a long time since Dwayne Bowe was a productive receiver, and with the signing of Maclin, he could be finding his way out of the door.
The Chiefs will have to clear salary cap space to get the deal done with Maclin. Most logical savings would be with Dwayne Bowe's contract.

But he bounced back to have a breakout season in 2014, nabbing 85 catches for 1318 yards and 10 touchdowns. Place Maclin in an offense that features Jamaal Charles and Travis Kelce, and you just might have something there.
The Cleveland Browns were also reportedly interested in singing Maclin, who will reunite with Andy Reid, the coach that drafted him.
