Kentucky Fan Arrested for Allegedly Giving Beer and Rum to 1-Year-Old Nephew During Elite Eight Party

A Kentucky woman was arrested earlier this week after giving her 1-year-old nephew beer and rum during an Elite Eight party.

We don't blame Kentucky fan Angie Spoonamore for downing a few beers and drinking a little bit of rum during the Kentucky/Notre Dame Elite Eight game on Saturday night. It was one of the most intense games of the entire NCAA Tournament. So if she needed to sip on something to take the edge off, more power to her.

One problem, though: Spoonamore wasn't drinking alone. Rather, she was at a party with some friends and, more importantly, her 1-year-old nephew when she decided to drink. And as if that wasn't bad enough, she also allegedly gave beer and rum to the young boy in a sippy cup and, at one point, she allegedly threw the boy to the ground, which caused him to sustain a cut to his lip. He required medical attention and had to be taken to the hospital.

Spoonamore was arrested a short time later for giving the boy alcohol. And while she has denied doing it—"It's really hard for me to believe that I tried to give that baby something to drink or hurt him," she told TV station WLEX—she has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, so she's probably going to do some time for what she did.

Check out the video above to see WLEX's jailhouse interview with her. What was she thinking?
