According to SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria, UConn head coach Kevin Ollie is being "strongly considered" as the next head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ollie, who played his last season in the NBA (2009-10) with OKC, has maintained a close relationship with general manager Sam Presti and could play an influential role in convincing former teammate Kevin Durant to stay with the Thunder when his contract expires in 2016.

Last week, Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Thunder were going to evaluate their current head coach Scott Brooks before committing to the final year of his contract. This latest news regarding Ollie suggests that Oklahoma City is willing to part ways with Brooks, if the right candidate becomes available.

In his three seasons as head coach of the Huskies, Ollie has a 72-33 record and a 2014 NCAA championship.
