At this point, Floyd Mayweather's gambling stories have become legendary. As recently as March, when he was gearing up for his fight with Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather was dropping six-figure bets on random NBA games. But it sounds like, at one time, Pacquiao was just as into gambling as Mayweather is.

In a Sports Illustrated feature that was released recently, Chris Mannix writes about some of Pacquiao's craziest gambling binges. He mentions the $100,000 trips to the poker tables of California that Pacquiao took in 2011. He also mentions the times Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum had to cover his markers at various casinos in Australia and Macao. And he writes at length about Pacquiao's penchant for betting on cockfights. His standard bet on cockfighting matches was around $50,000. But in one instance, he reportedly bet $360,000 on a single cockfight.

Pacquiao doesn't throw his money around like that anymore. But it's kind of crazy to picture one of the best boxers in the world standing at a cockfight in the Philippines with hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line.
