Jalen Rose gets paid a lot of money every year to take part in the NBA Draft and to tell the casual NBA fans out there what they can expect from certain draft prospects. He does this by comparing the prospects to former and current players in order to give people a sense of what they can expect. Just one problem: Jalen's comparisons aren't always spot-on. In fact, it often sounds like he makes them up on the spot.
For instance, people didn't like him comparing Karl-Anthony Towns to Patrick Ewing tonight:
They also didn't like him comparing Jahlil Okafor to Brook Lopez:
And that Stanley Johnson/Caron Butler comparison? Yeah, they didn't like that, either:
But fans weren't the only ones who noticed how often Jalen makes awkward comparisons. Tonight, a few NBA players called him out for doing it, too. Here are several of the NBA stars who chimed in:
Nothing but love, Jalen. We enjoyed talking to you last season. But uhhh…maybe it's time to stop trying to compare guys? It doesn't seem to be working out for you.
