In the 92nd minute of tonight's match between England and Japan to determine which team would face the United States in the 2015 World Cup final, Basset tried clearing out a pass in the box but accidentally gave up an own goal, preventing her country from making their first WC title appearance in 49 years.
With the score tied at one, England needed to hold off Japan's offensive attack for another minute to force extra time and possibly, penalties. But then, Basset made a mistake that will play on repeat in her head for the next four years. We feel for you, Laura.
