For the first time in a while the Mets are not shitty. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for their Triple-A team's stadium. Last night, the Las Vegas 51s (the aforementioned affiliate) and the Omaha Storm Chasers faced off in a contest that probably nobody cared about, and the fact that this collection of Big League hopefuls were not in the Majors couldn't have been more evident when each dugout was filled (reportedly halfway) with backup from a sewer. Mind you that this is August. In Las Vegas. So it should go without saying that the team eventually waved the white flag and vacated their dwelling for a seat far(ther) away from the stench of feces in 105 degree heat.
Still, here's a tweet to confirm as much:
If nothing else last night's snafu should serve as solid (or liquidy) motivation to make it all the way to the top. After all this would never happen in the MLB.
Well...except maybe in Oakland.
