Earlier this week, former tennis player James Blake was wrongly tackled and handcuffed by a plainclothes officer named James Frascatore while standing outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. Frascatore is the same cop who has been sued four times during his four years on the force for excessive force.

With the surveillance video showing the mistreatment of Blake at the hands of Frascatore, the 35-year-old Yonkers, N.Y. native spoke at length with The Associated Press about his ordeal and how he thinks the NYPD should handle the situation. "I don't think this person should ever have a badge or a gun again," he said. "I don't think it's too much to ask." Blake maintains his respect for the NYPD, stating that an police officer like Frascatore "tarnishes the badge."

"I'm sure this isn't the first time police brutality has happened and I'm sure it's not the last time," he said. "So I want them to apologize to the people that this happens to that don't have the same voice that I have."
