Rugby Player Delivers a Brutal Hit and Knocks His Opponent Out Cold

This actually looked like a legal hit, too.

The college football and NFL seasons kick off this month. But we're fairly confident that neither of them will feature a hit quite like the one in the clip above.

During a recent National Rugby League game in Australia, a player named Jack Wighton made a HUGE hit on an opponent named Jamie Soward in the middle of a match. It was made at full-speed and resulted in Soward getting knocked out cold before eventually being taken off the field with a neck brace on. Amazingly, the hit looks legal in slow motion with Wighton hitting Soward in the shoulder. But Soward's head snapped back so violently that Wighton was later hit with a one-week suspension.

If this took place during an American football game, all of the flags would have been thrown and Wighton would be in Roger Goodell's office right now. What a hit.
