It's been almost a quarter century since the University of Michigan recruited five unabashed freshman All Americans and changed the sports landscape forever. The The Fab Five, which some call "the greatest class ever recruited," recently had its cultural impact chronicled on ESPN's "30 for 30" documentary series. Now Jalen Rose—one of the film's masterminds and principal characters—is sharing his story once again in his new book Got to Give the People What They Want

In addition to his days in Ann Arbor, Rose's book touches on how growing up in Detroit shaped his hoop dream as well as competing against Kobe Bryant in the 2000 NBA Finals. As you'd expect from Rose, the book is sprinkled with revealing anecdotes throughout, from fighting with Larry Brown to the time someone tried to car jack him at gunpoint.

Rose recently sat down with Complex News to discuss the inner workings of The Fab Five, Allen Iverson, and trying to take out Kobe Bryant in the 2000 NBA Finals. Check it out in the video above.
