An hour ago, the Florida Gators—who are 6-0 on the season—were in position to make some serious noise in the SEC this year. Now? Well, things are a lot quieter than they were in Gainesville, Fla. this morning.

According to multiple reports, Florida quarterback Will Grier has been suspended from the team for the remainder of the season as well as part of next season for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. And while Grier hasn’t been the only bright spot on the Gators’ roster this season, his loss could prove to be too much for Florida to overcome—especially when you consider that the Gators are scheduled to play LSU at LSU on Saturday night. If nothing else, the distraction that Grier's suspension will provide will likely make it difficult for Florida and Grier's backup Treon Harris to prepare for the game.

Stay tuned for additional details on the suspension.
