BREAKING: Kevin Durant still hates the media.

Earlier this year, KD went off during a media session at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game and said, “You guys really don’t know shit,” when asked a question about his then-head coach Scott Brooks.

“To be honest, man, I’m only here talking to y’all because I have to,” he said. “So I really don’t care. Y’all not my friends. You’re going to write what you want to write. You’re going to love us one day and hate us the next. That’s a part of it. So I just learn how to deal with y’all.”

And earlier today, he went off on the media again when asked a question about Kobe Bryant. It seems KD has read a few of the articles that have been written about Kobe this season—almost none of them have been positive, because, well, Kobe’s play hasn't warranted much positivity—and he’s not happy about the way the media has portrayed him.

“I’ve been disappointed this year because you guys treated him like shit,” KD said, referring to the media. “He’s a legend and all I hear is about how bad he’s playing, how bad he’s shooting, time for him to hang it up. You guys treated one of our legends like shit, and I didn’t really like it. Hopefully now, you can start being nice to him now that he decided to retire after this year. It was sad the way he was getting treated.”

KD went on to talk about the impact Kobe had on both him and the game of basketball as a whole.

“He had an amazing career, a guy who changed the game for me as a player mentally and physically,” he said. “Means so much to the game of basketball. Someone I’m always gonna look to advice for anything. Just a brilliant, brilliant, intelligent man. Sad to see him go. He put his mark on the game.”

All very true. But Kobe has been pretty bad so far this season. So can you really blame the media (yes, including us!) for being hard on him?
