Rex Ryan has a history of saying ridiculous things, and because of that, he's one of the league's most entertaining head coaches.
He added to his legend during a recent press conference when discussing this week's opponent, the Miami Dolphins -- or more specifically, the team's head coach.
Rex Ryan dropped an interesting and little-known nugget Wednesday during his conference call with the Miami media. According to Ryan, he once tried to hire Dan Campbell on his coaching staff with the New York Jets.
As Ryan mentioned, he is beginning to get up there in age, so we're not sure just how accurate this really is. He did once tell his players that he would punch Patriots coach Bill Belichick in the face, though, so maybe he really does believe that he's one of the tougher guys in his chosen profession.
