Spurs legend Tony Parker loves animals so much that he even paid his way to becoming a board member of the San Antonio Zoo. He took his wife and kids on a visit to the zoo yesterday, and was brazen enough to step into the lion's den. There were three lion's cubs there, and he even tried to play with the cute three-month old cubs.Ā

Someone should have given him the memo: They. Are. LIONS! Whether grown or not, they have claws and sharp teeth that either hurt you real bad, or just flat-out kill you.

When he tried to play with one of the lion's cubs by poking a rope at it, he got shook real quick after it swatted at him.

The zookeepers were gracious enough to name the three lion cubs after Tony, his wife, and his son. Now that's cute.

If you want to see more about Parker's love for the zoo, here's a short clip of why he decided to enter the den.
