Tonight, at the 71st minute, Abby Wambach was subbed off and given the opportunity to soak in her final moments in a game. As she made her way off the pitch, she was greeted with a hug by every single one of her U.S. Women's teammates and coaches. However, the most emotional part came from the Superdome crowd which gave Wambach a standing ovation, as well as chants of "Abby Wambach!" as she roamed the sidelines.
A moving reception, but we expect nothing less for Wambach.
