Can you imagine what would happen if, say, Rex Ryan showed up at a press conference with what appeared to be a black eye? It’d take two or three hours for reporters to stop peppering him with questions—and he would be all too happy to answer every last one of them.

But earlier today, Bill Belichick managed to make his way through the “Why do you have a black eye?!” portion of his press conference (after he showed up at it with, you guessed it, a black eye) in a mere…23 seconds!

His exact words with relation to the injury: “I think I’ll live.”

We think you’re right. But is that really all you have to say?
